Blackjack

blackjackThe goal of the game – Blackjack

The goal of the Blackjack is to collect cards with a total value higher than the value of dealer cards but not exceeding 21.

The game

Bets are placed in the shape of a rectangle on the table where the “Blackjack” game occur. Your bet must meet the minimum and maximum limits set for each table. Players must place and confirm bets before the time for placing bets runs out. After this time, a dealer announces “No more bets”.

The first card dealt face up to the left of a dealer to each player. A dealer turns the last in the circle. The second card dealt in the same way, face up to each player; the dealer gets a second card, however, face down. Each player gets a chance to increase card value after all initial cards have dealt.

The order of priority is the same as the order in which the cards have dealt. When it is your turn, you will have the choice to “leave” the existing number of cards, or to take one or more cards to increase their value. As soon as you make a turn “enough of cards”, the turn passes to the next player.

If the value of cards exceeds a total amount of 21, it called a “bust”. In this case, a bet is lost. Otherwise, it remains unresolved. If the value of first two cards is 21, this combination called the “Blackjack”. It not allowed exchanging cards in this combination. If a player has the “Blackjack” and a dealer has no “Blackjack” (a dealer does not have nor ten, nor an Ace), then this bet paid at a rate of 3 to 2 in favor of the player.

If a situation arises where a dealer gets the “Blackjack”, the game result is deferred until a dealer produced the final calculation of a cards value. After all the players took up cards in turn, a dealer turns over their second card face up, then either decides to stay or take another card (depending on strategy). If the value of dealer cards exceed 21, it is a “bust”, and all unresolved bets win. If a dealer “stops” without bust, a card value of each player compared with a cards value of the dealer. If the cards value of a player is closer to 21 than the cards value of the dealer, the player wins. If the cards value of the dealer is closer to 21, respectively, the player loses.

In the event of a draw between a player and a dealer, a player does not win or lose his bet. Once all bets have been resolved, a dealer announces the beginning of the next period to place your bets.

The card counting

The cost of cards such as Ten, Jack, Queen and King equal to 10, while the value of Aces is 1 or 11. Once a player has decided “enough of cards”, the hand having one or more Aces considered as having a higher value without exceeding 21..

Opportunities for Blackjack player

After the players get their first two cards, every one of them has the ability to increase the value of the received cards. Players have the possibility to change the range of their bets in the following way:

Split – If the first two received cards have the same value (for example, two kings or two tens), it is possible to divide them into two “hands”, each of which will have a bet amount equal to your initial bet. If you split a hand, a second card dealt to the first hand, and a player allowed either to stop or to take one or more cards to increase the value of cards. Once a player decides that is enough of cards in the first hand, a second card dealt to the second hand. In this case, a player also decide to take another card or stop. Split Aces are an exception. When a player splits a pair of Aces, each split hand receives only one additional card, while not having the possibility to change it or take another card. If after splitting Aces a player receives Ten to one of them, then this combination would not considered as a “Blackjack”, but simply 21 points. Moreover, a player cannot re-split already separated cards.

Important! A player cannot perform a split of two cards of different rank, but of equal value. For example, a king and a ten.

Doubling – When a player gets first two cards and believes that a third card can bring a win in the game, there is a possibility to double a bet. In this case, the bet will be doubled and a player receives only one additional card. There is also a possibility to double up after a split, except the split of aces (this is because you can only get only one additional card after the split of aces).

Insurance – If a dealer’s up card is an Ace, a player can buy insurance, which is equal to half of the initial bet. If a dealer has a “Blackjack”, the insurance will be paid at a rate of 2 to 1. If a dealer will not have a “Blackjack”, a player loses the insurance amount. The ability to buy insurance is preserved, even if the client get a “Blackjack”.

Blackjack Payments

The “Blackjack” beats any three or more cards with the value 21. All other winning bets paid at a rate of 1 to 1. In case of a draw, a bet does not lose or win. A bet is lost in case of the bust, that is, when the total cards value exceeds 21.
